Coffee Grinder

Position Objective
Grind coffee to Tully's specifications. Adhere to all Quality Control guidelines and timelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up Grind schedule the day prior to grinding coffee
- Use pallet jack or forklift to organize coffee for grinding. Assist the rest of the Packaging department as time permits.
- Move product between grinding stages using proper equipment. Organize and stage coffee next to machines to minimize grinder and packaging machine down time.
- Lift product with proper equipment or lift containers into hopper.
- Set up or adjust Grinder for different grind specifications (e.g., espresso or drip).
- Track and monitor Grind specifications for each grind. Report problems to Lead, QA and/or Supply Chain Managers.
- Use machines to test Grind specifications.
- Clean grinder on a daily basis and between batches as needed to meet quality requirements.
- Follow policies and procedures as described in Tully's Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMPs)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of Grinding area. Assist with cleanliness and organization of the Packaging floor.
- Work with maintenance to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Other duties assigned by Packaging Lead or Supply Chain Managers.
Requirements - Education and/or Experience
- Prior food production experience a plus, but not required.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet production demands.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules covering all packaging hours of operation and production demands.

Coffee Packer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Fill proper number of packages into master case.
- Ensure product quality meets standards, including quality of bag, label, UPC code, valve, and weight.
- Immediately notify Machine Operators of any problems with the finished product.
- Lift product with proper equipment or lift containers into hopper. Assist with packaging machine film changes. Assist Machine Operators during packing down times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of packaging floor.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Attention to detail a must.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs from shin to waist, and stand for an entire shift.

Maintenance Engineer

Position Objective
Minimize or eliminate production equipment downtime through careful maintenance and repair work. Install, adjust, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment in packaging, roasting and shipping.
- Timely and effective repair of equipment when equipment downtime occurs.
- Perform routine building maintenance including basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical and landscaping duties.
- Repair brewers, grinders and espresso machines at the roasting facility for wholesale & retail groups.
- Maintain records of preventative maintenance schedule and spare parts.
Requirements - Education and/or Experience
- At least three years manufacturing environment experience. Strong preference to food manufacturing experience.
- Strong background in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC controlled equipment.
- Trade skills of carpenter, electrical, welding, fabrication and machine repair. Two year technical/trade school preferred.
Requirements - Skills and/or Physical
- Must be able to read electrical schematics, blueprints and equipment manuals.
- Strong, independent problem solving skills using technical documentation (manuals, diagrams, etc) and various test equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends if necessary.
- Must be able to work under GMP and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and team facilitation).
- Self-motivated and proactive to maintaining and repairing equipment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to change.
- Forklift license and tools preferred.
